Verified Conduct Registry

Terms of Use

The rules that govern use of the registry.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to every account holder: landlords, managing agents, short-term-rental hosts, and any staff member granted console access. By signing in you accept them.

2. Evidence standards

A record may only be submitted where it is supported by documentary evidence. Every submission must pass the published verification gates before publication: reporter identity confirmation, written notice to the person named, an honoured right-of-reply window, human review, and an assigned evidence grade.

3. Right of reply

The person named in a record is notified and given an opportunity to respond. Their response is stored with the record and shown to anyone who views it. Records may not be published where the reply window has not been honoured.

4. Permitted search purposes

Registry searches may only be performed for a lawful screening purpose connected to an actual or prospective tenancy or stay. Every search is logged against the searching account with its stated purpose. Searching for any other reason is a breach of these terms and may result in suspension.

5. Account obligations

Credentials are personal and may not be shared. You must keep your account details accurate, and report suspected unauthorised access without delay.

6. Suspension and termination

Accounts may be limited or suspended where evidence standards are not met, searches fall outside permitted purposes, or where required by law.
