South African conduct registry

A trusted conduct record for rentals and stays.

Verified Conduct Registry keeps a checked, evidence-based record of how tenants, guests, landlords and hosts conduct themselves — so decisions about property are made on facts, not rumour.

How it works

Four plain steps, from the moment something is reported to the moment a record can be trusted.

  1. 1

Someone logs or looks up a record

A landlord, agent or host records what happened, or searches for an existing conduct record before signing.

  2. 2

The named person is told and can reply

Anyone named is notified and given a fair chance to respond in their own words before anything is settled.

  3. 3

A trained reviewer checks the evidence

A person reviews the documents and grades how strong the evidence is. Weak claims do not become records.

  4. 4

    A fair, verified record exists

What remains is a checked record that protects honest tenants, guests, landlords and hosts alike.

Why it's fair

A record about a person carries weight. The registry is built so that weight is earned, tested and answerable — never assumed.

Right of reply for anyone named

Every person named in a record is notified and may submit their own account before the record is finalised.

Evidence is graded, not assumed

Claims are assessed against documents and verification gates. An accusation on its own is not a record.

People decide, not software

The registry supports a trained reviewer's judgement. It does not issue automatic verdicts or scores.

Trust and security

POPIA-aligned

Personal information is processed for a stated lawful purpose and kept only as long as it is needed.

Every lookup is logged

Searches and record views are written to an audit trail that cannot be quietly edited.

Access is controlled

Only verified, authorised accounts reach records, and sensitive actions require additional approval.

Screen with confidence. Record with fairness.
